Good luck waiting for McDonald's. It will never happen, at least with the current mindset in Wolfeboro. MD's wanted to come to Wolfeboro first, before they ended up in Ossipee and Wolfeboro gave them such a hard time, they gave up and went to Rte 16 in Ossipee. Dunkin Donut's took about 2 years as I recall to get their permission to be n Wolfeboro. Buddy LeHeroux's (of Red Sox fame) daughter went to Planning Board Meeting after Planning Board Meeting to finally get the approval. I don't think their was any bribery, just perseverance. And a lot of it!
