Mink Islander, the fire could happen to any of us that have any kind of flammable source on board. I have never noticed any "hi-performance" boat just get jumped into and then cranked up and driven off, unlike at least four different occasions at three different docks yesterday alone by owners of boats such as four winns, regal, searay, etc. that I personally observed.


Noise, yes, but I cannot agree with the "accident waiting to happen tone" of your post. While I usually enjoy reading your contributions, this one seems a little over the edge to me...but I agree with you, thankfully no one was injured.

Just my humble opinion.
