With all due respect, and IMHO, I strongly disagree with this comment. We, out of respect, find it OK every year to honor the Events at Pearl Harbor, that is a good thing, we find it OK to post pictures and video of boat accidents on some lake in the Ozarks, we find it OK to post pictures and discuss meteor showers millions of miles from Lake Winnipesaukee just because we can see them from here. We allow discussion of the Super Bowl, because teams from the states that many members live in are opposing each other.

Frankly, if this site ever became a place where we couldn't at least comment on such a horrific event right here in nearby CT, were many of of our members come from, that would be my last time on this site.

Respectfully, Lake Winnipesaukee is part of the USA, and part a of New England and this is a national event. I wouldn't be surprised if we find that some of the families impacted by this shooting have visited our beautiful lake, and maybe, just maybe, one of the persons who posts here lost a child or a family member in this tragedy.

SCG, we devoted space and many a comment on your search for the owner of a ring that only was connected to the lake because was it was lost and found here. It was a wonderful and heartwarming thing you did. We were right to celebrate it and honor it.

We, as an electronic community, are connected to this event, to ban any comment about it would simply be wrong.
