I received my first quote of $1,400 for "oil" based sealer. This quote seems through the roof.
In the northeast, the average cost for driveway sealing is typically between $.10-$.16 per square foot. Anymore then that could mean that they might have to do something else to prep the driveway before sealing, i.e., pressure wash, fill large cracks, touch-up the sides, etc... or maybe you live a long distance from the sealing company.
If you have a 5000 square foot driveway, and it is ready to be sealed, then it shouldn't cost you anymore then $800 to have it done.
