I use the slingbox on my android frequently over 3G, but I find the limiting factor is my DSL connection at the house. I live on a dead end road and we don't have a broadband connection. On the the other hand, I have dialed into a friend's slingbox that uses FiOS and I would say the picture quality is fantastic. Even with mine, it's good enough nd It's better than paying another cable bill.
