Cross on Bear Island
The granite cross visible in the wonderful sunset photo taken by Bear Island South is located at the Camp Lawrence chapel on the southwest side of Bear Island. It was erected as a memorial to eleven year old Kenny Tinker who died of leukemia in the early sixties.
