Default My Perspective...

Yes, boating traffic is down this year. From my perspective, that is good. Less time driving through the the Channel and fewer monster waves created by those big cruisers means a more enjoyable day of boating. I would rather drop $50 in gas for a day of boating than waiting in line with all the tourist for dinner. Dining on the boat can be just as good as dining by boat . Too bad the government just ran out of money. Maybe we could have gotten Washington to offer us boaters cash for sinkers....trade in your old gas guzzler for a nice shiny new boat with a more fuel efficient engine that does not put out a wake like the Sophie C.
