I get the peppermint oil usually from a heath food store. As for application, I usually put some in a wide mouth jar, and put a piece of folded up paper towel down in it to act like a wick. It lasts an amazingly long time, I left the initial application from Oct, until January when I went up. Over the course of that time the peppermint oil had all dissipated, but I could still smell it in the air, and I re-soaked the paper towel and put some more oil in the bottom of the jar. I wish I could tell you how many oz I used over the course of the winter but I don't remember. It wasn't a very big bottle though. I put the jar, paper towel setup in two or three areas inside the camp. The camp was then left again from January until April.... there wasn't much scent left in April although I could still pick up a hint.

My Aunt who also has a camp has been using the same technique. We have had excellent results....
