Hi All
The admiral and I were up at the lake today and toured the west side from Alton to Center Harbor.
There was still a fair area of ice cover, but wherever I could get at it to check it was just slush. Gazillions of tiny pieces (I've seen more impressively sized chunks of ice floating in my cooler!)
Center Harbor was clear; the area between Lovejoy Sands and Bear Island was slush covered (but it was moving with the wind), as was a small part of Meridith Bay; the area around Ames Farm had a lot of floating slush, and Alton Bay was clear out almost to the main lake!
One could almost call ice out now, since the Mount would plow right through anything that I saw without even noticing! YeeeeeHaaaa!
