Because we keep our boat in a marina full of $100,000 boats and I didn't want it to look like the Beverly Hillbilly's was moving in next door. We had originally bought the boat and dock as a way to come up for the weekend without having to trailer up, and getting an investment. A floating cabin so to speak.
I hadn't planned to sell when we got it painted a few years ago, when we bought a house up here. So we hardly used the boat as it was slipped 18 miles from the house. So the boat went unused and unloved for two years, now.
I had been starting it up and cleaning it, but now it sits forlorn under a tarp...
We have put it on craigslist, but only get tons of spam replies when we do now.
It has been on this sites classifieds. No replies at all. Consignment is fine, but we can't do that until Spring now. Hadn't even thought of that really. We had a friend call last night and talked to him about it, so he is supposed to be coming to look at it in a few days.
I'll let you know what we decide after that. Meanwhile I will call Fays or Shep's to see what they do. Are they even open now?
