I think Apple needs Verizon more than Verizon needs Apple - the Droid has had a nice impact on the iPhone market. I test-drove a Droid and didn't find it to be as intuitive as I'd like... The iPhone 4 was announced at WWDC today. Lots of cool new features. No mention of a Verizon/CDMA version though.
