That is a great story! It is a terrible feeling when the dogs go missing. At least they are smart enough to know where to go!

We also have the invisible fence. When our oldest dalmatian Carrie was younger, we were dog-sitting another Dal. Well that Dal didn't know what the fence was all about, so he blew right through it. Of course Carrie followed him.

That was the winter of 02-03, we had a ton of snow (it was at least waist deep at the time). Knowing that the direction they went through the woods was I-93, I had to go look for them. I was trudging through that deep snow following their foot prints, swearing every step of the way. I was alternating between walking on top of the iced-over snow pack and stepping through it, so even though it was cold, I was sweating like a pig. I had to have been out there for a half hour in that mess. I found them waiting for me...on the nice packed down snowmobile trail just a few hundred feet from the house. Boy was I mad, and they sure knew it!
