Protecting your family and yourself

I suspect we can all agree that we hope our families and loved ones never catch the virus in the first place. I found this video incredibly helpful and optimistic about avoiding it. My hope is that...

Peakfinder

If you are looking to identify peaks, I recommend PeakFinder which is a phone app. It identifies the peaks and can overlay the annotation on a picture...very cool.

There are, including mine  but staying out where the ice is unaffected is not tough (or was not tough...the dusting of snow last night is probably a deal killer). My experience with the ice...

Skating on Hanson Cove

Had a great time skating on Hanson Cove today. Meredith bay is still open, but I found 5.5 - 6.5 inches of ice when I drilled. Amazing to enjoy the open cove with flat ice...it does not happen often.

Hanson cover from the camp

I was able to get a pretty good view on Friday. As you can see, Peakfinder is not perfect but the tall peaks are well identified.

Greetings from the other side of Hanson Cove

Looks like you are using peakfinder. If you are, they just added a cool feature where you can overlay the mountain info on the actual image and save as a photo. You can also align the two, which...

Squam

I drove around much of Squam yesterday and it looked totally socked in. No idea what the ice thickness is, but to my eye, it looked like it was behind Winni.
