Breeding?
My understanding is that peak breeding season occurs in mid-May. Maybe that's part of the reason they seem to disappear. They're busy doing "other stuff". :D

Saw the first hummingbird at our place in Meredith yesterday morning. Time to get the other two feeders out this weekend.
