how good was it?

Not to rub it in, but...

Nagigator,

I was up Friday and Saturday. Friday was not good, almost as windy as Thursday, so there was not boating for me. Friday, on the other hand, was a beauty. Started off nice, then a cloud bank rolled in and cooled things off until about noon. After that, it was almost perfect. The only negative was the fact that as warm and sunny as it was, the water was too #$&* cold to go in. It was like a tease. I'm not complaining, just trying to make it easier for your.

Hopefully there will be many more days like this weekend ahead. I heard today (Sunday) was even warmer.:)

Today was absolutely gorgeous, warm, calm, very few boats around Alton & Wolfeboro, wish the day could have lasted longer...

Any day at the lake that is over 70 degrees and not raining is a great day. I thought there was a chance of rain on Sunday so I went up to start opening up on Saturday. The family had other plans for the day so I went up alone. Got my work done and had a little time to cruise the lake. Even made my first trip to Frankie's for a scoop.

It was absolutely terrific.. check the other thread "first great boating weekend in May" there is a lot of discussion about the weekend there.

Hope you are able to get out soon!

Waxed and buffed the boat on Saturday am, launched after noon. Short cruise around Alton Bay,l boat ran great. Went to Pop's for clams and ice cream. Warm slow cruise home at 8pm, felt like July. Sunday even warmer after morning clouds. Went to Wolfeboro for lunch wanted to eat outside but JO Green's and Dockside (think that's the name) weren't open so when to Shipleys in Alton - nice!!!. Took late afternoon cruise by Rattlesnake and out to the broads, not a ripple in the water, 92 degrees. Fantastic July (I mean beginning of May )weekend

It was a Fantastic weekend for May 1 and 2 for sure.

Not as many boats out as I thought would be, but it is still early.

My only complaint was the $$$ I spent on fuel....threw about 25 gallons of Diesel in the F-350 and about 75 gallons in the boat....:(

But hey as they say if you want to Play you have to Pay!!!!

Cant wait until they come out with a Hybrid Performance Boat....;)

I hear that over $200 for the boat and over $500 in the truck the past 2 weeks towing the boat.. I don't even want to calculate tolls... All I know is my EZ pass account has be replenished 4 times.. LOL

5/2

Sunday was picture perfect for our first ride of the season. I picked up my wife and friend at the dock headed over to the Lions Den for lunch. After lunch headed around Cow to a friends camp in Moultonborough and then back to Laconia to tie up and head home. When I got home my face was red (didn’t think to put sun lotion on lol) but it was all worth it!!
