Summer Job Options

This will be my first summer at Lake Winnipesaukee. I will be on Bear Island right across from Shep Browns. During the winter months I teach, but am looking for something part time for the summer. Any ideas? Thank you!:liplick:

tourist places

restaurants and retail establishments generally need temporary help. In summers past, kids from Europe would come over and staff these positions because no-one wanted the jobs. With the state of the economy I wouldn't be surprised to find plenty of local folks interested in these kinds of openings this year.

Contact the Winnipesaukee Flagship Co. The Mount Washington, Sophie, and Doris use summer help. I worked on the Doris E. for one summer a long long time ago and it was fun.

Why not teach summer school?

Check www.edjobsnh.com

There's always postings for summer school teachers...

Work 4 hours a day... for 8 weeks... not a bad gig. :)

Because after 40 weeks of 12 hours a day, it doesn't sound nearly as appealing.

haha

Haha... that is true, not my number one choice, but I will look into it. It never hurts to have more experience. I have only taught for 2 years and am job hunting for next season. My school is closing (along with others in the district) and there doesn't seem to be a need for teachers. :(
