The first definitive fishing guide for Lake Winni angling
Next month a book, which is actually the first definitive guide to Lake Winni angling, will become available in local book stores and on the internet. The book has been reviewed by John Viar and Don Miller whose excellent biological work has helped make the Lake Winni landlocked salmon fishery the premier one it is today in the USA.
Go to: www.deepwaterspress.com to learn more about the book entitled, ANGLING IN THE SMILE OF THE GREAT SPIRIT - Six Centuries of Wisdom from the Master Anglers of Lake Winnipesaukee) The book features tips on best lures, depths, speeds, techniques - plus tales, stories and histories from 15 Master Anglers who cumulatively have over 600 years of Lake Winni angling experience. It will answer many of the questions posted here by both novice and experienced anglers. I'm out on East Bear Island from mid may 'til October. Anyone with questions feel free to email me privately at: halclyon@yahoo.com Good angling and tight lines! Hal |
Looks like a winner
Looks like a very good read and a real keepsake. 350+ photos. I smell a birthday present for a relative...

I hope the book doesn't reveal all my good fishing spots

Sounds like a good read of a local treasure. Looking forward to it.

Sounds like a great book for any camp on the lake with a fisherman in the house!

new fishing book
Thanks for the heads up on the book, sounds like it will be worth picking it up. Wish it was out already, it would make a nice anniversary gift for my husband next week. Guess I'll have to just place an order and get it to him maybe for father's day.
