k-cup coffee price

So, what's the latest on prices for 12-packs of k-cup coffee at your local lakes region super market?

In the last month Walmart in Gilford and Plymouth has gone from 3.76 to 4.59/box of 12 k-cups. Flavors include French Roast, House Brand, Donut Shop, and Columbian.

Hannafords in Gilford and Meredith has gone from 4.29 to 5.29/ box of twelve k-cups with about ten different flavors.

Market Basket in Plymouth pricing remains unchanged with a box of 12 k-cups selling for 3.99. Flavors include Lighthouse, Dark Roast, Donut Shop, and Breakfast Blend.

Three cheers to Market Basket in Plymouth NH for holding their store brand coffee at 3.99/12 k-cups ......... good for you, Market Basket ......:D!

A third of the coffee in the US comes from Brazil. With a 50% tariff implemented last week, it's about to get worse :(

I am surprised that FLL buys k-cup pods rather than rolling his own:

I second that. We've been "rolling our own" K-Cups for years. Our favorite morning coffee is Woodshed Roasting Company's "Signature" blend.

We get our coffee from a shop in the North End in Boston and buy by the lb and ground for k cup use and store properly. Then I buy k cup liners for the reusable cups 400 of them for $20 bucks (I get the ones with the top flap on them) My total cost per cup is .08-.12 cents a cup depending on the coffee. Most commercial Kcups are filled barley to halfway so we follow the same model if I want it stronger I add some more

Interesting I never knew you could roll your own.

They are now growing coffee beans in California compliments of the warming climate conditions!

Swim Noodle K-Cups

Little known fact: You can take a swim noodle ($1.00 at Target) and slice it into 2 inch sections and you'd get close to 30 pieces. With a bit of elbow grease, you can affix a small screen to the bottom of each section. Fill this with your favorite grind and slap a piece of perforated duct tape and cover the top.

Put it in your Keurig and hit "brew".

You'll likely break the machine, but what a fun afternoon you've had.

:D

Best Coffee

We use Eight-o-Clock coffee but,,,,we also put it in a french press. I don't care whether it Pete's Coffee at $15.00 for 10 ounces or Maxwell House, using a french press will give you the best tasting coffee you've ever had. Try it, Amazon sells them for under $50.00. If you don't like it return the press. I'm sure you'll love it.

I buy boxes of 80 Donut Shop kcups at BJ’s or Staples online depending on who has better price

We have switched to an espresso machine, which is pricey, but pays for itself in months compared to take-out. But I agree that a french press for $20-50 is the best value in coffee. Just make sure to grind it for french press (very coarse)

Another good choice for coffee is an aeropress. It’s a cross between French press and espresso machine. Costs less and easy to use.
