Pop's Clam Shell Owners have bought Dockside in Alton Bay

They hope that the new restaurant, “Pub 23,” will open in late October. They've tried to answer in advance here most of the questions folks may have..

That will be an interesting venture. A little different than the clam shack. Looking forward to trying it.

Ate lunch here today, and it was excellent.

Sundays = $1 wing day, and the sweet chili wings were super good. Corn chowder was also excellent, and the smash burgers with various additions (pulled pork, fried egg/cheese, onion strings/BBQ sauce) were all great as well.

Pop's will remain our go-to by boat, but Pub 23 will be a great go-to by car.

It is a short walk around the tip of the bay to Pub 23 from the docks and Pop's. Pop's by boat but not Pub 23?

It's not about the distance, it's about the experience.

Pub 23 doesn't have as good of an outdoor seating area, so if it's nice enough to be on the boat, Pop's would be my choice.
