Thanks for the update on the Auroras! Unfortunately, we're leaving for Philly on Thursday to see the Mummers. I don't think we'll see it from there. Next time, though!!!

This far south we need solar flares to get auroras. To get noteworthy naked-eye auroral activity from a coronal hole solar wind event such as this one is very rare. It's only happened once in the past four years. This particular coronal hole does look more impressive than most, though.

The Mummers parade.
 
This is way cool. Everyone should experience it once in their lives.
My daughter graduated from AIP and I attended a parade a few years ago. I had a great time. :D
I need to get out. 'Cabin fever' is setting in. :emb:
