A very acceptable wake—a plus.

Interesting!

The floats look a little short for landing in rough water.

I would be interested to see how high it will go. It looks like it may only operate in ground effect.

I have a lot of questions: price, duration of a battery charge.

Time will tell

Excellent questions.

Not to be too much of a naysayer, but I'm guessing it's an incredibly low flight time (30 minutes?) followed by a charge of several hours. A Nissan Leaf battery weighs 660 lbs to roll a small car about 80 miles. But the Kitty Hawk weighs only 220 lbs total--maybe 100 lbs of battery? And the strain to lift and fly 400lbs (including pilot) has to be HUGE (I leave that to the forum's engineers).

Don't forget to add the weight of the operator, which could add upwards of another 150 lbs.

They say TV makes people look 20 lbs heavier. In your case, snowmobile suits must do the same thing.

You are welcome, Dan. 😉😁

I hope I never see one of these on the lake.

From the FAQ:
Quote:

Where can I fly the vehicle? The Flyer may be flown in uncongested areas in the US and is designed to be flown over fresh water.

Can I operate the Flyer on land? No. The Flyer is designed to be flown over fresh water.

Can I operate the Flyer in a city? No. The Flyer may be flown in uncongested areas of the US and is designed to be flown over fresh water.

Is a pilot’s license required to operate the Flyer? You do not need a pilot’s license to operate the Flyer in the US.
Ok on the lake, define an appropriate uncongested area! If you fly this, it will become congested very quickly!

And keep in mind the meat grinders (aka propellers) that surround this thing!

This thing looks perfect for anyone who does not need to be bound by the laws of physics or current battery technology.
