Boat Owner History Research

I posted this in the History forum, but someone suggested I might have more luck here. I bought a 1961 24' Chris Craft Sportsman about 3 years ago. I am trying to trace the ownership back to the original buyer just for my own curiosity. The New Hampshire DMV, unfortunately, doesn't believe that registration records should be public, so I've hit a road block in my search. I know the boat lived on Winnipesaukee for a number of years. I believe it was sold from the lake in 1992 to a gentleman in North Carolina (I have all of that information). The hull number is CUA-24-0007C. I have looked through the Chris Craft club archives as well as some of the ACBS and haven't found anything. Does anyone here have an idea on how I could keep hunting for this info? Try contacting Irwin Marine. They were a Chris Craft dealer for many years and may have original and subsequent owner info. http://www.irwinmarine.com

I will give them a try. Unfortunately, the boat was delivered to Chicago, IL originally. I've started a search on that end of the boat's life, but I'm hoping I can keep tracking backwards as well. Thanks!
