Why just those two?

Can you tell us why you have narrowed it down to just those two...and what size are you looking for? Goodhue and Hawkins will take care of you in Wolfeboro. They used to be a dealer. Ask for Jeremiah - he's great.

I am also curious why just those 2 brands when there are soooo many out there.

I am not sure that you will be happy with either brand on Winni weekends. Any other time or location, either will be fine.

I had a Stingray 240SX back in 2001 and enjoyed it,took it to FL during a brain cramp that followed my EX-wife while still married she wanted to move. It handled the intercoastal and ocean well. The sx series are performance sports class boats I was happy but had to get back to a better deadrise vessel. what ever you choose sea trial it

I just purchased last June a 2007 Stingray 220DR. Its a 22' deckboat and although it only has a 16 degree deadrise it handled everything Winni threw at it last summer very well. I had a 18ft Four Winns prior to that and although it handled Winni well for a small boat the added length and weight make a huge difference. My Stingray doesn't have quite the same fit and finish the Four Winns had but is still a great boat and has a ton of room! It seats 11 people and I actually had 12 on it mostly kids but we didn't feel cramped at all and everything had a place to be stored. It also has a pump out head. All in all I am happy with my purchase and if you are looking for a Stingray I would definitely put the 220DR on your list.

Both entry level boats. Good price, not quality of construction...
