Every morning I check The Mount Washington web cam (as well as the other various web cams... snake eyes, Weirs cam etc... This morning this is what was on the Mount Washington web cam (observation deck).

It'll be a cold day in ....

OK OK I am a die hard YANKEE Fan who almost got the stuffing beat out of my when I wore my Yankee jacket at the Weirs years ago (I have since learned not to don the Pinstripes at the Lake!) - but I still think that the Yankees will be playing their old teammate Roger in the Worl Series! We will see what happens tonight in NY.

I'm so glad the Sox are in the World Series--Finally! Win or Lose vs. Cardinals, we beat the Yankees, and made history! Red Sox all the way!

(P.S. Please don't remove this thread. It's all in fun and hey, the Sox are still a New Hampshire team, meaning they ARE part of the Lakes Region--in a way! :) )

There were no deaths reported and no riots in NYC due to the Yankee Red Sox Game - and there never has been a riot after they won either.

The girl that was killed outside fenway (sp?) was a friend of the family's and they used to visit the lake on occasion. Lets keep her and her family in our prayers when the celebrations continue!

So just because I come from NY and am a Die Hard Yankee fan does not mean I can not acknowledge that we were out played and the better team - I am a realist!
So congrats to the Red Sox (although I hope you will understand if I choose not to root for the Sox against the Cards!)
I will however be rooting for the Pats, as I hate the Jets and have always been a Patriot Fan (that is someting that is tuff to explain to my fellow Yankee fans - seems most Yankee fans are also Giant fans). I am after all closer to New England than I am to the city!

I have to say I really don't understand why the idiots act they way they do/did after sporting events these days. I'm all for a friendly rivalry and good natured ribbing but really, destruction of someone else property and random acts of violence ... as a means of celebrating a victory :confused: I just don't get it. It's just a game ! You'd think that these days people would have a little perspective but I guess not.
