Eagle nest on Hull Island

1 Attachment(s)
Tonight during a Zoom presentation about eagles they showed a map indicating there is a nest on Hull Island. Has anybody seen it? Any pictures?

Thank you.

They have been there for a few years. Here’s a picture of one from back in 20, on Hull. The picture was taken on the North Western corner of the island. They had / have a nest on the North East corner, looking toward Kona.

Could you imagine sitting on the beach and the next thing you know you're hang gliding over the lake? Yikes!

A bald eagle and a Canada goose each weigh about ten-15 lbs, and are evenly matched enough so's the predator eagle will not attack the goose. Eagles have hooked beak and talon claws for weapons. Canada goose has its' strong neck and sturdy beak for a weapon plus that honk-honk-honk loud attack sound.

I don't intend to support the photo of a small dog carried away by an eagle. It could have been faked for "monetization".purposes. :rolleye2:

However, a bald eagle did lift a combative fox to perhaps 20 feet high before dropping it--and the fox did run away afterwards--video:

We saw one up in a tree on Whaleback Island (Moultonborough) two weekends ago. My son took a picture that I’ll post. He stayed for a good 5 minutes and then took off.
