Donate very high end Mahogany dining room set

I have a very high end solid mahogany dining room set.
Table is 8’ long with (2) 2 foot wide inserts
8 chairs
2 piece hutch with glass doors on top. Heavy as hell.
Serving hutch as well.

I am looking for a place besides habitat for humanity that would appreciate this and make sense beyond a habitat house.

It need to be a a tax exempt organization as I am look to write of the donation.

Anyone have ideas or work with a group that can use something like this
Reach out to me

Thanks

Restore in Plymouth may take it. If it is what you say it is a few of the second hand stores in the area will purchase it from you. Pennies on the dollar, but it will be gone

Restore is operated by Habitat for Humanity, which the OP has already disqualified.

I know the Salvation Army will pick up your donated items. If you go onto their
website it has information on how to donate. They have a huge store in Saugus MA, and they take furniture. Good luck. Hope this helps.

I had a similar problem regarding an oriental rug quite a while ago. It was of a style which was no longer in vogue and it was too large for us to use in our new home. I had it appraised but could not find a buyer willing to pay anywhere near the appraised value. I was able to locate a tax exempt charitable organization which had a large conference room in need of a rug, so it worked out well. I got the deduction, based on the appraisal, and the charitable organization got the rug. While a charitable organization might not need a high end dining table, chairs and hutch, perhaps these could be repurposed as conference room furniture. Think of social service agencies, visiting nurses organizations, private schools, historic societies, etc.

Used furniture is surprisingly difficult to sell/donate. Sell for pennies on the dollar, as mentioned above. Beg a nonprofit to come pick it up with their incredibly strained resources.

Tax deduction? This is unlikely--the Trump tax changes increased the standard personal deduction in a way that makes it rare for a person to get a tax deduction on donations in this value range. If you do not itemize, there is no tax deduction.

In this context, anyone with a truck and a couple of strong friends may be a good recipient

Have you seen Flip'n Furniture at 612 Tenney Mt Hgwy in Plymouth, which is close to Walmart? They have a truck and will maybe come haul it away.

Perhaps you could give it away in exchange for something you need or a service of value, such as carpentry, roofing, landscaping etc. Possibly on Craigslist or here on the Winni website. You could donate it to a shelter such as New Beginnings in Laconia. Conference room, as suggested, is a good idea.

I gave away some heavy living room furniture this year. Boy, did that feel good, tax deduction or no.
