Water in tubes

In the last 5 years I have had 3 instances where water has gotten into the tubes of my Tritoon and the marina has been able to weld. My question , is this an inherent problem with pontoon boats or the quality of the manufacturer ie Bentley,Bennington,Starcraft,Avalon ect.

Are the leaks typically on welded joints that failed?

Do you beach the boat a lot?

Are the pontoons otherwise in good shape, not dented Etc?

Sometimes, just the repeated bumping against a dock can stress the welded joints.

marina said this time it was areas where the bases that support the deck is where they found the cracks, I don't boat a huge amount, (not a good thing)

I've heard about it more the last couple years, but I'm guessing that's purely the result of the exponential increase in pontoon boats this last decade.

I gotta think there's a connection between either/both/all: brand, design, and use.

Finally, I'll be interested to see if my 'toons suffer long-term from pulling up on the beach where I keep my boat, but no issues as of now (this is our 6th season)
