Foster's Boiler Room & Serving Size

I swore I posted about Foster's Boiler Room in Plymouth last year when we visited after showing up to find the Italian Farmhouse had lost electricity, but I can't find the post.

Anyway, we decided to go there for our Hawaiian Shirt Night, and I've never felt so ripped off. I had flashbacks of feeling the same way last year, but it was driven home when they put my chicken and waffles plate in front of me, and I asked—only half-kidding—"where's the chicken and waffles?"

For $17, I got a piece of chicken the size of my 10-year-old daughter's fist (it became a joke) and a teacup-saucer-sized waffle. That is no exaggeration. The kids' meals were offensive, as well. My wife's was passable, but not by much.

I had originally compiled a list of restaurant cheers and jeers for this post but thought it was a tad rough to call out disappointing experiences (is it?), but Foster's is way over the line in my opinion.

Just a note for anyone who is sensitive to price vs. serving (as was addressed recently in another sub/sandwich thread).

PS Pop's seafood plate was up ~20% yesterday ($36), but it was a home run. I'd gladly have paid $20 at Foster's for a real C&W.
