Helmet Communicators?

I am just getting back into sledding and I am going to try to get my wife into it as well. In order to make her feel safer, I want to have a helmet communication system between us. She will have her own machine. We have friends who ride and would like a system that they can also be added to.
I don't want to spend tons but I do want a system that has decent range and relatively easy to use. Other things that I would like but are not mandatory are: voice activation, blue tooth, long battery life.
So what are people using and what are the pros and cons?
Thanks in advance!

Chatterbox X1-Slim

I have used the "Chatterbox X1 Slim" and they have worked fairly well or should I say better than others I have tried. They all have their shortcomings but for the most part the Chatterbox works pretty well.

The battery will very easily last all day in the coldest of weather.

The range is about 1 - 1.5 miles on wooded trails and a lot more on an open lake or field.

While they do have voice activation, I found using their handlebar mounted push to talk button was way better!

Bluetooth works excellent.

Where you mount the microphone in your helmet makes all the difference in the world. Depending on the type of helmet you have you need to make sure your not breathing right on it as it will freeze up!

Didn't get a chance to try last year but Ski Doo's newer Oxygen helmet which requires no face or head covering (which I can confirm after riding with it last year) should work well with all communicator microphones.

Anyone try a communicator with the Ski Doo Bv2S helmet?

Last year I purchased the new UClear digital Motion 6 communicators and installed them on two new SkiDoo Oxygen helmets.

I have used the previous model UClear communicators and was happy with them so I decided to try the newest version on the new helmets.

Barb didn't ride with me this past season so we never really got to test them, but from my limited testing and using them, they seem better than the previous generation.

I like that they are full duplex and don't cut off words. They pair with the phone easily, but I don't really listen to music when riding. They are small and the microphones are easily mounted inside the helmet.

This is the system I'm using:
