Fauci

I find it ironic that the guy that fought against wide spread booster in August is now telling us we need to be careful when he knew the following facts:

1. J&J....86% to 13% efficacy drop in 6 months
2. Moderna - 89% to 58% efficacy drop in 6 months
3. Pfizer - 87% to 45% efficacy drop in 6 months

Let's face it. They knew this months ago and decided (lead by Fauci) not to allow boosters in the time when most were once again vulnerable.

Careful, the truth angers some

I'm not angry, as WZ suggests, but I find it ironic that people continue to post partial truths and full on baloney while claiming to correct the record.

Fauci as been on the case for boosters since February,

Your article is behind a pay wall so I can't read it. This one isn't and 5 months vs 8 months could have been very beneficial

Now it's 5 months vs 8? Just a post ago you asserted he was against boosters in general. This is the kind of partial truth that has a corrosive effect on the truth. For many, it seems Fauci can do no right. But really, this is just political baloney.

You do not need to pay for the LA Times article that reports Fauci has been on boosters since February, just register

You misunderstood my comment. In August, he was against a 5 month booster. This was the time when I and many others should have had a booster.
The data was available. Our vaccines were fading fast. If we had started then, we might be in much better shape for those of us that wanted the booster in a timeframe that was much better.

Please forgive me--I may be touchy. A large number of people who have no intention of taking his recommendations criticize him for not being omniscient. This drives me nuts, especially when many of those people suggest we'd be better off taking advice from people who have zero experience with infectious diseases.

I'm glad you got your booster. Cheers
