Here's a long list ..... https://joeshimkus.com/NH-Tax-Rates-2021.aspx ..... showing either many or all (work in progress) the N.H. towns' and cities' real estate tax ratios.

It sort of seems like New Hampshire is not really so much a state, but more like a collection of self-supporting towns because very little money flows from the state in Concord back out to the individual towns.

So, where is that state money from Concord? ..... :D:laugh::D ..... like, what money? ..... :D:laugh::D ..... you know, that state money! ..... :D:laugh::D

Berlin-$36.54 and Northumberland-$35.31 are the two highest, with Claremont being another poor town with a high rate, but not computed, yet.

So's the lowest town is New Castle at 4.73 and I believe New Castle is a real town with real expenses, unlike the few unincorporated civil townships of Success and Green's Grant. So, how does New Castle manage to come in at 4.73? What's happening in New Castle, NH? Oh..... Wikipedia says it is the only NH town located entirely on an island. So, maybe the islands of Bear Island, Pine Island, Mark Island, Three Mile Island and a few others should form their own town and secede from Meredith? What would be a good name for this new town made with about seven different islands? How about 7-Island Town!

The State pays for State mandates, State programs enacted by the Legislature, and State employees.

The municipalities/schools/counties are the effect of localized voters and thus is not collectivized throughout the system.

Makes perfect sense.

...... the M-boro Pickle

Considering that Moultonborough's-$6.98 is about half of Meredith's-$13.43, and a pickleball court measures 20' x 44', Moultonborough should step up to the plate and construct a floating pickleball court. Name it the M/V M-boro Pickle, and bolt it all together this winter, using four old, worn out pontoon boats and some pressure treated lumber and ...... b-i-n-g-o ......you got a floating pickleball court with an outboard motor that slowly putt-putts around the lake as a floating pickleball venue.

If the oil wealthy, City of Dubai in the Country of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf can build a floating tennis court, 36 x 78', then the waterfront wealthy, Town of Moultonborough NH on Lake Winnipesaukee can have a floating pickleball court, 20 x 44'.

If Moultonborough builds it, pickleballers will go there to play pickleball ...... way out in the middle of the big lake, somewhere! ...... ...... as it slowly moves around the 22-miles of lake water.
