Call the Middleton Meredith store (6032797911) ask for Rick Thieme.
Before we hired him, he was our goto on cabinet repair and refinishing.
He should have an idea who in the area specializes in that.

Down here in Bristol, it would be Mike Camire of Paul Fleming and Sons.

INSL-X Cabinet Coat in satin or semi-gloss, a Ben Moore paint product, sold at Rand's Hdwe in Plymouth and Home Depot in Tilton.

Is very expensive at $25/qt and $55/gal.

As soon as I can find a quart of untinted base coat in semi-gloss at a thrift store for one dollar, will redo my kitchen cabinets! ..... :D
Too bad that the Meredith Transfer Station does not accept any cans of paint at their free store because that would become an instant hit, a happening place-to-go for new, unused and left over paint.

I had some older oak cabinets that were in perfect condition but looked old. They were in a layout that really couldn't change so it was pointless to buy new ones.

I though that the shiny finish would have to be sanded down so paint would stick to them, but I was wrong. About 10 years ago I painted them with color tinted latex "Bonding Primer" and they have stood up well. New hinges and hardware made a big difference too.

The bonding primer really sticks, you will realize that when you try to wash your hands at the end of the job. The second day started with rubber gloves. It is way better than traditional latex paint.

Bonding primer is a wonderful product. Once cleaned bath tile can also be painted. Just a primer, you do have to paint on top of it. With that said, when painting kitchen cabinets clean, light sand, prime and paint. Some spray and others role. Issues arise when expectations are not set. Many are looking for a factory finish on 30 year old cabinets
