+9,999.9 Gallons of Super Unleaded Fuel Used ⛽️

I hit a milestone today. I maxed out the gauge that measures gallons of fuel used in my SUV.

I wish I had one of these gauges on my boat. Attachment 15369

You’ll Get Better Gas Mileage

If you keep your tires properly inflated.:)

I have one on the boat

Only around 2400 gallons after 10 years... Not sure if I should be happy or sad with that!

You probably don't :)

But, if you are serious, there are a lot of fuel monitoring options for marine engines, particularly if your engine is newer than ~2000 or so. Most engines have at a minimum a J1939 port that you can get fuel data off of the ECU from. Newer engines will support a NMEA2000 connection, and report fuel flow data. This can be tallied by various MFDs.

My boat no longer has an analog fuel gauge, it was never very accurate, we just tally fuel usage in the MFD and call for a fill up when we get below 40 gallons or so in the tank. I can see total remaining fuel in the tank, range, and "seasonal" usage (or, if I don't reset the seasonal ticker, total fuel used).
