Anyone recently see a fisher or bobcat in Kona area off Moultonbrough Neck Road?

Our 15-lb pet cat has been missing since the night of Aug 7/early morning Aug 8th. He has been an indoor/outdoor cat for over 7 years- gone out at night and has always known how to stay close to home and keep away from threatening wildlife. There was no sign of scuffle that night, no sound on cameras all night; he simply disappeared quietly in the night. He wasn't sick and he is not the kind of cat to "run away to have an adventure". It was 1 am- he didn't wander into someone's home, car or garage at that hour. Has anyone seen a bobcat, coyote or fisher in the Kona area off the neck road- off Jacobs road, Hauser Estates, Long Point Road or Norway Point? We have seen foxes in the past but didn't ever bother with a 15-lb cat. Also, we have seen raccoons but they just look for food to scavenge and, again, have never messed with our live cat. We had cameras on that night and saw raccoons searching for food but the cat never showed up on camera after he went out. Thank you for any information.

Sorry to hear this, Bubba. I hope he's OK

My father always liked having cats that would go outside and sometimes they would just oddly disappear and be gone for extended periods only to return looking thin and ragged and like they had been a mountain climbing adventure.

So dont give up hope, they often do come back.

Maybe just lost for a bit?

On Long Island I have seen a Bobcat and Fisher's. Have not seen a coyote in awhile.

Just noticed this little video about bobcats in the lakes region on WMUR, but of course there is no specification on where. Even if roughly.

I hope your kitty comes home safe and soon!

A veterinarian who advises Fridays on WRKO-AM radio spoke on "missing cats" said the same thing.

His own cat had twice taken up secret lengthy residence at different neighbors' houses! :rolleye2:

Now thats funny!

Maybe he needed a change of scenery for a while, or just wanted to try a different menu,,,

Cat clearly have a mind of their own, whereas dogs are much more owner focused.

One of the worst issues are those that automatically believe the cat is lost... start feeding it, and bringing it into their own home.
