Ignition Key Programmed - Dealer in Laconia

New uncut replacement added ignition key. I have the blank OEM key. Purchased already. This is just for the programming. Both will cut key no charge for cut.

New car dealer programming in Laconia cost is $145.00.
New car dealer programming in Concord cost is $59.00.

Cannot be programmed by car owner without specific software.
And yes, some qualified locksmiths have the software and can do it.

Contacted new car dealer in Laconia and asked if they could match price. Not.

Suggest you get a quote from "Batteries, Plus". They are located in Concord.

Just another alternative for anyone to consider prior to using a new car dealer.......

Rocky's

Try Rocky's Ace Hardware in Concord. They did my Ford key for less than half the price dealerships quoted -- key, cutting, and programming. I bought the key from them, so I don't know if they will just do programming, but it may be worth a phone call. It was still a crazy price for a key -- but far better than the dealers wanted, and they were great to deal with.

There was also an old thread on this about a year ago -- various suggestions and opinions on the subject.

At the Plymouth Walmart you can see all their programmed key inventory, kept in a locked display cabinet at the Walmart tire lube express ........ price, not known by me?

Supposedly, the Sanel Auto Parts in Meredith does programmed ignition keys, too.

When you say $145-Laconia dealer ..... is that Irwin Ford Toyota Hyundai?

When you say $59-Concord dealer ..... is that Grappone Ford Honda Mazda Hyundai Toyota?

Does it get cold here in the winter? Does it get dark at night? Do people go boating on Lake Winnipesaukee?

Two new keys FOBs cut and programmed at dealer in Concord.

$69.00
but added
$5.00 each to cut key.
The cutting machine used uses the VIN number. Not a hardware store type cut.

All four operate properly. Yes, I always have at least 3 factory keys for each vehicle.

The new uncut key and FOB were $27.00 for two. At Amazon.

Why so many keys? Well, only one time I lost a key years ago. On that car, to program another key one needed 2 factory keys (a Ford). So I always have at least 2 working factory keys. Note that some of the aftermarket smart keys do not act as a factory key.

I always get factory OEM type keys. (original equipment manufacturer).
