Dockside/Bayside
 

We have wanted to try Dockside in Alton Bay, but only think of it when we drive by. We stopped last weekend, but they had reservations and it was otherwise an hour wait. We called yesterday for a reservation and ate there for the first time. My wife had the prime rib special as that is one of her favorites and said it was the best prime rib she ever had. I had the baked stuffed shrimp special and it also was delicious. Both are specials on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We finished with their Boston Cream Pie which was also very good.

The same people also acquired the little diner in Alton Bay close to the town docks, across from Shibleys and renamed it Bayside. We used to enjoy going to breakfast there by boat but haven't tried it yet since the ownership change, but expect to do so soon.

Starting last fall the Dockside has been our local go to spot. Everything that we have tried has been very good to excellent.

The Bayside is now open for dinner.
