Atlantic Broadband outage

How much of the Lakes Region is being affected? It looks like a fairly large outage from this area down to DC. My first concern this morning was being able to watch the Nascar race. At this point I’m worried about being able to work from home tomorrow...

I have ABB internet and it's working fine.

My service has been out since early this morning. Working off of my hot spot now. I'm in Meredith.

Interesting cause I'm on Bear Island and the feed to the island is off Meredith Neck Rd.

Strange. I’m 4 miles from you as the crow flies. No internet/phone/TV since I woke up this morning. I’ve never had an outage this long.

Biggd 06-07-2020 02:27 PM

I hope it's back soon.

Are you out? If yes, in Waltham or Meredith?

No Outage Here

I had TV, phone, and Internet service with no interruption in Gilford all day...so far.

Atlantic Broadband, Center Harbor, internet & TV was out when I got up at 5 am. It came back on around 4 pm. I also checked and our church (Center Harbor) on Fairpoint DSL was also out. We were supposed to have a church Zoom get together at 11 and we couldn't host it as planned and many other members around the area had internet problems as well.

Curious as to what happened but we will probably never find out.

EM Heaths was cash only this morning because of the outage.

I have a landline with Consolidated Communications (Fairpoint) and the system has been down since this am and is still down. I’m on Long Island in Moultonborough. Is this part of the same company?

No ABB and Consolidated are different companies. They may share some sections of the northeast internet backbone.

So far after spending over 90 minutes holding for someone to assist in setting up a new account I am fed up with ABB already!

Still haven't been able to get a person on the phone.

Office in Belmont (Laconia?) is presently closed. Phone should be national. Did you try to google them?

Have you tried the chat assistance on their web page?? Sometimes that can work out well...

worth a try...

Yes it was inactive until about 2pm today. Took forever on that but finally got a response. Never was able to reach anyone by phone. Of course the previous owner hasn’t cancelled their service yet so there was nothing they could do. Basically a complete waste of time. Will have to start over tomorrow.

I was having a ton of issues this past weekend at my place in Wolfeboro with my ABB internet (internet would just go away sporadically, no rhyme or reason). Finally got through to tech support, lots of back and forth information. Still not fixed so someone is coming out next week.

Anyway, one of the techs told me to go to the ABB Facebook page and use the messenger feature to chat with ABB. She said that it's a direct connect to technicians that monitor that page. I tried it and while it wasn't blazing fast, it was better than sitting on hold for 90 minutes just to talk to someone and I got a back and forth. Still didn't fix the issue... Plus, you can save the message thread so you have a record of what you were told...

I've used the chat on FB for resetting the modem (on their end), etc. and they've been pretty responsive.
