Homeowners Insurance for Islanders

Does anyone have a lead on who is writing homeowners insurance for island properties now? Our current carrier, Phenix, is no longer writing this coverage. We were all set to go with Openly, but they just decided they are no longer quoting coverage for properties that are not accessible year-round. Thanks!

We live on Barndoor & just switched to State Farm from Phenix. Our agent is Mike Testa, 101 Court St, Laconia NH 603-524-3694 If you go to State Farm's online site and put in your information the contact info comes up. Mike's office was very helpful and the process was easy plus done in a timely manner.

For many, it makes sense to have home, cars, camp,. boat, umbrella, all in the same place so there isn't finger pointing in case of a significant liability claim, or loss of personal property. Your umbrella carrier may like to have control of the underlying liability--some other company paying off $100K just to close the case may jeopardize the umbrella coverage.
