Lost Dog-Bernese Mt. Dog-Please Help

If you see him, his name is Bagger. He lives at The Mystic Meadows on Parade Road and maybe around South Down Shores or around Crockett or Severance.

One of our workers left the fence open, he got out and got hit by a truck and took off. We don't think he is hurt badly, but we don't know.

He is on medication and needs them, please call immediately if you see him.

That is great news! I hate hearing about lost animals. What a beautiful dog!

Glad He's Back

Real good news, Leslie! You mentioned in your first post that Bagger had been hit by a truck ... was he injured?

Pepper 04-18-2010 08:44 AM

So happy Bagger has returned, and certainly hope he was not injured.

He did have a small open wound on one of his hind legs. He was also limping a great deal however it was difficult to tell if the limp was related to the incident with the truck because he often limps for a couple of days after running. A few days have passed and I think he's just fine but it may be time to retire him from his caddy position. I hate to do this because a working dog is happiest when working and he is no exception. He holds his head a bit higher and pushes his chest out proud when he's pulling his cart. Does anybody have a suggestion for how to break the news to him? ;)

A great big woofing thank you out to all who expressed their kind concerns.

As baygo (ray) mentioned, Bagger is doing great! He had a very minor scrap that is almost healed and is doing very well. Thank you for all of the well wishes for his safe return!!
We were pretty worried about him, and are really grateful that this didn't turn out as bad as it could have.
It is amazing how much our 2 dogs are a part of our lives.
Here is a picture of the two of them for your viewing pleasure...ok for my viewing pleasure! :D
