Landscaper recommendations

I recently moved to the Meredith area, and I'm beginning to notice that prices for landscapers in the area are higher than I expected.

All of the major landscape companies around the lake appear to justify the high prices by claiming a combination of gas prices, travel distance, and the administrative staffing. While I accept that there's some additional costs for gas prices and i'm not opposed to paying more, it does not justify the 3X increase from what I've been used to paying previously.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a small landscaping business with reasonable prices? I really just need mowing, fall cleanup, and plowing.

thanks!!!

What type of landscapping are you seeking?

just basic stuff. Lawn mowing, fall and spring cleanup, and possibly plowing.

There seems to be a kazillion landscapers out there.
Miracle Farms
Stephens Landscaping

And a bunch of others.

What I do when needed is to seek trucks/workers in neighborhood and stop and ask.

If one comes weekly/monthly in neighborhood - adding another customer might provide a reasonable cost/price.
