On a busy Friday nite, in the exact change lane - the line is too long to have everyone stop, pay, then wait around for the light to turn green before proceeding. If you keep moving along at 2 MPH and toss carefully - you can pay your toll without ever stopping, and do your part to keep the line moving. OK, now and then you miss the basket and hear the bell - but what are you supposed to do? Stop, get out of your car, and pick up what you dropped on the ground? Sorry charlie... Oh - and how about if the light stays green after the last car went through? Is it legal to keep moving through without paying because there is no red light? The left-most exact change lane at the Hooksett toll often "works" that way! anyway - a moot point now for those with the ezpass. |
