or how about . . .
machine guns mounted on the Marine Patrol boats! "We don't give out no stinkin' speeding tickets!"
Or launching a submarine at the Wolfeboro town docks?!?!? Where will they keep the black helicopters? So many questions!:laugh::laugh: |

I'm Heading to the Romney Rally tonight at the Verizon in Manchester with a bunch of friends. I think it's awesome that he will be in Manchester the night before the election!!
He is an outstanding example of what a U.S. President should be. I pray that he wins. |

What happens to the Lake...
There have been some subtle improvements made at the formerly-Wolfeboro Airpark, nothing which could support fixed-wing aircraft, but certainly could support a helicopter.

I am excited about seeing him tonight, hopeful and optimistic he will be elected President tomorrow, and if elected, I will be even more hopeful about the future for our United States, the future for my family, and especially for my 3 son's |

Why wouldn't they just clear a landing spot at his house in Wolfeboro?

Here's your VP's latest gaffe

Finally I agree with him on something. |
Romney has made a few gaffes along the way, I like this one:

Obama made the same identical gaffe with Joe Biden in 2008. So gaffes are equal opportunity sound bites.

Go Mitt!
I would HAPPILY give up my boating privileges for the next 4 years in order to see Mitt elected. If you-know-who gets re-elected, I won't be able to afford the boat (and probably a lot of other things) anyway.

Mitt's NH Hometown
Interesting stuff, folks.
I lived on Martha's Vineyard for about seven years, and during that time Clinton visited regularly. I can tell you that at that time (pre-911, remember), the "disturbance" to public places basically traveled in a large circle around the man (or Mrs. Clinton)...So if he was staying at his condo, you wouldn't know unless you went out that way. And when he came into town, the area immediately around him was upset but you could be a few streets over and never know. Still, I have to echo some of the comments from those experienced w/ the Bush compound in Maine. A lot depends on where the POTUS is, and whether it can be easily protected - or, "cut off", to put it another way. BTW, I thought some of you may be interested in the Oct. 30 post on this Lakes Region blog about Romney and his relationship w/ the Town of Wolfeboro... http://lakesregionofnewhampshire.blogspot.com/ |
As for where Mr. Romney will be watching the returns -- we are down here in Florida, and I did hear on one of the political shows over this past weekend that he will be at their home in Wolfeboro! The Romneys no longer own a home in Belmont. Does anyone know if there are extra news crews setting up in Wolfeboro? That would surely be an indication of where he will be.

Beside these politicians don't want to be in a small out of the way town like Wolfeboro. :rolleye2: There just is not enough people around to pat them on the back win, loose or draw. :D |
It appears now he will be in Boston for the returns. At least he is "home".

We won't have to speculate tomorrow (hopefully :rolleye2:).
Looking forward to a late night tonight and a fantastic day tomorrow! |
If he loves it here so much, why is his house for sale?
|
That's because -- IT ISN"T FOR SALE !!!!
|
Romney just drove by my office, to and from voting!!
Here we go MITT!!!! |

Of course the Marriotts will do all they can to help him. They are friends. |
Cya Willard! ;)
|
So...what happens now that he didn't win? I suppose the security will remain at least what it was this summer.

He's now plain old Willard of Wolfeboro. |
No security, no press, no crowds. Mitt will have a simple life as a private citizen.
No impact on the lake at all. R2B |
I thought his lake house was on the market. One of our members posted a link to it last yer (or the year before?).
So technicaly my remark was a "false lie." I only thought it was the truth! |
I guess the new question is; "what happens to the lake now that Romney lost"
Is it business as usual? I am sure gas prices will still be in the $4 dollar range come next summer. :( |

I hate to think what the next four years will bring. I am hoping for the best but cannot see anything good coming of this election on all fronts. I hope I am so wrong. |
