I was looking on the web and those boats are certainly not cheap.

I see you have your dog on the new Coke and Batteries diet too! Really helped ours get his energy back, and his coat has never been more shiny.

Our vet diagnosed Holly with an electrolyte imbalance...I know my my 12 volt car battery has electrolyte, so I figured the little ones would have some as well and be safe for her to eat. No medical reason for the Coke...she just likes it!

For those of you familiar with the Tiki Hut Boats, you might know that the little ones were actually more like rafts...built up on blue flotation barrels. This season, one of the small boats is getting an upgrade.....pontoons! This will make it more stable, faster and more fuel efficient, increase it's passenger capacity, and a hell of a lot easier to keep in a straight line. Can't wait to see the final product!

I thought part of the charm/allure was unstable and not going in a straight line. I can share a drink recipe that will make the pontoon seem unstable, if you like.

Hey...did you already give that recipe to my wife, cause.... Ummm, nevermind. [emoji6]

Whenever you give out a recipe, always leave out an ingredient or double one. "I followed Steve's recipe, but somehow, it's never as good as when he makes it."

It's funny ...I heard it before I saw it and thought it was one of the big cruisers out on a Sunday afternoon ride.

I was on the Mount yesterday Steve. Alas I had no access to the horns otherwise the C-Nile would have been acknowledged.

Well, three of the cats came out on the boat yesterday, so I guess we're officially here for the season. Our oldest cat , Ethel, passed away a month ago and will be buried out here...one less to worry about trapping in the fall .

Absolutely...in fact, Ethel pretty much disliked everyone in the house but me. She ran away from others , but I couldn't sit down without her jumping up on my lap.

She had it pretty good! Loved every dog we've had ...Holly would literally ram her nose up her butt and she'd purr...go figure!

First time in a long time I got to be a passenger on somebody else's boat, and it felt great! Mike is the chef at the new Clubhouse restaurant at the Weirs. Wednesday is Italian Day there and if you haven't been yet, you really need to...the food is amazing!

How many times did you feel the need to correct his technique?

You know, it's kinda funny that you mention that. It's so instinctive for me to do that now that I had to struggle to keep my mouth shut! [emoji16]

I'm sure he would have, and if he had asked I would have had some suggestions for him. We went to Meredith and the finger docks were full...there were 2 or 3 boats waiting for a spot to open up. I noticed a small spot against the wall that his boat would fit in and told him to dock there. I think he was a little apprehensive, but he proceeded and much to his surprise he was able to fit right in with no input from me. Wasn't perfect, but he got the job done! [emoji16]

I meant to type advice, not decide. Sorry for the typo.

I’m sure having you there watching gave him some motivation and a slight amount of pressure to perform. lol.

Who needs Sea Tow when you have the C-Nile?

He’s not towing me for once. Well, he is but I’m in his boat
:D:D

fatlazyless 07-03-2024 05:34 AM

..... catching a freebie tow back home?

How to get a free tow back to your Lake Winnipesaukee dock? Stand up in your broke down boat and wave a paddle around, up in the air, as other boats travel past.

Very soon, someone will stop to offer help or a free tow back to your dock. This method works every time and has never failed in the last 114-years.

I guarantee it! ...... ;)
