Did you feel the chill this morning?

I sure did... stays a little warmer out on the island so no boat windshield scraping was needed, but the car windows were iced up. Absence of fog made for a pleasant ride in.

Associated Boat Transport moved her, they transport 600 boats a year and have a lot of experience hauling antique wood yachts. They were very accommodating in part because they were familiar with the Gypsy and her history.

I have been friends with the Fay's for many years, but they did not have anything to do with this sale. I have just been bugging them for two years to make some room in their boat yard for me. :)

Had lunch at The Breeze last week, saw the C-Nile at the dock. Looked kind of lonely. A few people were retrieving boats but not much activity. Such a beautiful day, wish we had time to launch a boat and go for a ride.

I took a picture of the boat at the dock but for some reason posting pictures is escaping me right now. I know I did in the past but it seems to only allow links to images, no uploading.

I took the dog out a little while ago .. it's so quiet out here now you could hear a pin drop. More Islanders are leaving by the day, and it's very dark as well .

I'll see if one of my friends can make some passes by the island in a wake boat with AC/DC playing over the tower speakers.

The C-Nile probably has more speaker power than the wake boat, but if it's close I could fire up the outside house system and drown out that drive-by. Remember, there's no neighbors left to complain about my loud music![emoji16]

hey, I admit I did pee in the yard a few times, but I did it off camera, and only went where the dogs normally go...

With 4 dogs, they go everywhere....

I just aimed for the yellow circles and hoped that everyone was so preoccupied looking for wayward kayaks that they wouldn't see me!

It must have been a bumpy ride in this morning. The wind was howling up on the hill last night, and it looked rough down near Diamond/Rattlesnake.

last night was pretty rough going out...this morning not so terrible...of course, we all have a different view of what bumpy and rough might be! ;-)

Ugh I hate the time change. I don't mind at all going to work in the dark, really don't like the dark afternoon/evenings. But I realize I'm not boating to work.

for me it's a good thing...in a month it won't matter! ;-)

It was blowing hard this morning. There were some big rollers crashing into the tip of Rattlesnake this morning.

Pic out my bathroom window earlier.

you know we're sheltered from those west winds on East Mark... I had no idea ( too dark to see the true height of those rollers ) how windy it was until I saw the flag blowing at Glendale.
