My family would spend every summer at the lake in the early 1950-60's. We rented a boat house from woman who owned a huge old house across the street from the lake.I remember that she had many antiques, and a rap-around porch. I think she also use to rent rooms as well. Many times her grandchildren would be there and we would play together. Her grandson was in a wheelchair. The boathouse was right across the road from her home. There was a huge bolder right next to the B.H. It also had a balcony that hung over the lake and my brother's use to dive in the lake right off the balcony.
I think that a few years ago I saw a picture of it in Travel and Leisure magazine...
Can anyone shed any light on the boat house and the family that owned it?
