Curious Bear
This curious bear stopped by early Wednesday morning during the snow/sleet; he was probably looking for a warm place to sleep! He kept coming back to look in the window.
I tried to upload the video, but it wasn't in the right format.

Looks like a yearling that is on his/her own that never denned. I had one out back that was still wandering after deer season ended.
Not sure if they have this instinct built in or mama has to show them once... |

That's what I thought; he roamed around the perimeter of my house before leaving.

High temps in Winter
The warm temps this past weekend have the potential to arouse some hibernating animals from their sleep, and if their dens are not snow covered, they may come out and wander around, perhaps looking for a little food.

Hibernation?
Did a couple of warm days bring them out of hibernation? Will they go back?

Bears don't truly hibernate like ground squirrels or ground hogs, they're in a state known as torpor and will easily be awoken if touched or they hear a loud noise !
