If your boat is at the dock or on the trailer, and somebody steals your tool box, is it covered under your home insurance? Boat? Camp? "Who ya gonna call?" Extending liability coverage for a second location or a small boat from your primary home policy is relatively cheap, better than having separate policies. At least, one agent should know all the risks and set up coverage accordingly even if you buy from others. I sold for a direct writer for 25 years and covered second homes in MA, FL, ME, AZ, etc. and cars for college students all over the place since they were still part of the household. I know laws have changed since I retired years ago, but the principle of coordinating coverage is the same. And some companies don't want or are not underwriting certain risks like your 75 mph GFBL or a permanently sited mobile home.
